Screaming in Digital - Issue 106
September 27th, 1993Editor’s Notes
Hello again, everyone! This is the last September issue,
and - as some of the more ancient among us recall - October marks
the second birthday of this digest. The actual date is near the
end of the month, but I figured I’d warn you all ahead of time.
This particular issue is one of those “learn something
new every day” documents, and also contains a short survey aimed
at getting some statistical information together, in hopes of
persuading EMI to re-release the Live in Tokyo video in
the US. (Please do respond to the survey, and mail it to the right
address, since I don’t want to be forwarding the responses! ![]()
Anyway, enough of me. On with the digest.

Hello again, everybody! This is the last issue of this summer, which
doesn’t really mean anything, but I figured I’d mention it for anybody
who’s celebrating an equinox… A couple issues back, Squrille asked
about people within EMI to write to about getting Live in
Tokyo re-issued. I got a couple suggestions from folks at
the company, so here you go:
- Jeff Panzer
- Production
EMI North America
8730 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles CA 90069 - Ken Baumstein
- Senior VP of Marketing
EMI North America
1290 Avenue of the Americas
New York NY 10104
Either of those would have some influence, with the V.P. having
more. Anybody who wants to write to ‘em, go ahead!

Greetings once again from the land where the weather is
actually cool for a change. I haven’t really said much in this
space lately, as I’ve been thinking mostly about jobhunting. Did
anyone manage to find the domestic-release LaserDiscs yet? I’m
still hoping for information on them if anyone picks them up.
I’ve included contact information for Mercury Rising, the band
from Baltimore I reviewed last week, since I neglected to do so
in the review. Anyway, on with the show.

Greetings, everyone! Happy Labor Day to those in the US.
To those returning to school from vacation, welcome back!
I received my copy of Operation: Archyves this past
week, and was pleased to see David from TAMU - a long-time
participant in the digest - on the list of major contributors.
Needless to say, the archives contain vast amounts of information
that aren’t in the discographical files on the FTP site… yet!
I’ve started working on adding information to the discographies.
I seem to recall this being the week Laserdiscs of all
the Queensryche videos will be coming out. If anyone picks them
up, please send reviews!
