Editor’s Notes

Greetings from Iowa City, Iowa, which for some reason
seems to be the home of half the Queensryche import singles in
the world. I picked up the Jet City Woman UK one at a place
called BJ records (couple blocks off-campus) which had at least
two other import singles. Wow. Maybe I should move here.
Anyway, obviously, as promised I’m trying to get the
digest out on the usual schedule. The university is providing
net-access to my home account (whether they know it or not) for
which I’m very grateful.

Editor’s Notes

Hello world! Yes, I’m thinking what you’re thinking -
wow, this is a big issue. Mailers everywhere will suffer. In
other news, I’m continuing my tradition of being the wanderer,
and will be in Iowa City, Iowa (what a logical place for it) the
next couple weeks, visiting a friend there over Thanksgiving. As
I always say when I go mobile, I will try to keep SiD coming on
schedule. If you see sections in this issue that aren’t familiar
to you - no, I haven’t added something new. The sections and
their names have been around a while, but in each digest, only
the ones for which there’s material show up. And now, on with
the issue!

Editor’s Notes

Hello again, all! I’ve got two brief items to mention,
and then on with the digest. First, a thank-you to whoever
uploaded “triryche.gif” to the main FTP site. I’ve moved it over
to the images download directory, and it should be mirrored onto
the archival site shortly. Secondly, a hello to Zelena, who’s
the first subscriber from Hungary, the 28th country represented
among SiD readers. And now, the digest.

Editor’s Notes

Greetings, and Happy New Year to any Celts out there! On
the down side, it’s looking like we won’t have any Queensryche
for Christmas this year, as they usually announce it in early
November if that’s to be the case. On the good side, though, the
next album should be getting pretty near completion, so at least
we can pretty definitely expect it in 1994.
