Welcome back, everyone - I hope those of you celebrating Christmas had an
excellent time. I know I did, despite my annual cold, and although the
holiday rush didn’t leave time to talk to Tina much this past week, I plan
to chat with her more this week. That’s all for this week - unless Tina
gives me some really late-breaking news tomorrow.

Editor’s Notes

Hi, folks! Please note the new address - as if you could overlook it, since
there’s a whole new header up there. My apologies to those of you who were
great fans of the good old ASCII tri-ryche header, but as we continue to
move into the information age, I’m using more in the way of
hypertext illustrations, as those with graphical WorldWideWeb browsers can
attest.

For those of you who are wondering, the machine which had been hosting the
digest - Arginine - spent last weekend dead. A very brief volume 169 did
go out, but to less than one third of the subscribers - unfortunately, all
the data was on Arginine. Fortunately, Arginine was revived, and I managed
to recover all the needed data, and have now moved it to a more reliable
site.

Editor’s Notes

Those of you who enjoy mathematics will doubtless note that one hundred
sixty-nine is the square of thirteen. Those who are superstitious will
note that thirteen is considered to be an unlucky number. Not particularly
falling into either of the above categories, I will simply note that it
seems somewhat fitting that the production of the one hundred sixty-ninth
volume of the digest should be marred by a relatively major hardware
failure and the resultant unavailability of reams of data.

Editor’s Notes

Hi everyone, and welcome to December. Rockline has come and gone - at
least for those of you who, unlike me, live near stations that carry
it. The new single is out, newspapers are reviewing Promised Land, and
to start off my holiday season right, I’ve been labeled “crazed” by
none less than Michael Wilton. As my sister put it, “If the guys in
Queensryche think you’re crazed, that says something.” Anyway, on with
