Screaming in Digital - Issue 197
June 26th, 1995
Editor’s Notes
Hi all, and welcome to the last issue of Screaming in Digital
for this month. I haven’t yet seen the Call For Votes (CFV) for the new
rec.music.artists.queensryche newsgroup posted, so it may
have been delayed. On the bright side, the new issue of Consumable
Online, containing an interview with Michael Wilton, is out, and I
believe that magazine’s editor also posted the interview to
alt.cd-rom and alt.rock-n-roll.metal.progressive.
I’ve also put the interview up on the WWW page, and if anybody out there
can’t figure out how to retrieve a copy of it from any of those places,
just drop me a line.
That’s all for this time around, see you in July!

Greetings, and welcome to the last issue for Spring 1995, coming to you
live from mosquito-ridden New Jersey, where if this is Spring, I don’t
think I want to see Summer. Sorry this issue is so large, but everyone in
Texas sent a show review in! Speaking of shows, EMI reports this leg of
the tour has been extended by three dates - the Orange County Fair in
Middletown NY on July 25, the Cayuga Fair in Weedsport NY on July 26, and
the Molson Amphitheater in Toronto ON on July 27. I believe July 24-27
will be the first time on this tour that the band plays four nights in
a row. Let’s hope Geoff’s voice is still strong by the time they reach
Toronto. Word also comes from EMI that Chris and Scott both got cakes for
their birthdays on the road this past week.

Hi everyone, and sorry this one’s so late. Being a consultant isn’t all
fun and games, and Sunday night I was sleepy. Anyway, there’s some really
big news this week. EMI has surprised me by going and doing what I’ve been
bugging them to do forever - they’ve created a web site with information
about the upcoming CD-ROM, without me even noticing! It’s located at
http://www.rockonline.com/emi/qryche/
and it’s Netscape 1.1 enhanced - which means it looks awful under some other
browsers, but it still works. It’s not complete yet, but there are some
video clips that some might find interesting. If anyone knows how to
convert AVI to MPEG, let me know.
Birthday wishes go out this week to Chris DeGarmo (June 14, 1963) and Scott
Rockenfield (June 15, 1963).

Hi, everyone, and welcome to June! The band is on break, but the fans just
keep on going. Of course, the band will be back at it soon too!
That’s all for this week - see you again next week as the tour picks up and
two members of the band celebrate their birthdays on the road.
