Screaming in Digital - Issue 206

August 28th, 1995

Editor’s Notes

Greetings, everyone. In the news from EMI this week, the
Promised Land CD-ROM is scheduled to enter beta-testing
on September 1, 1995. Keep your fingers crossed!

In other news, I’ve been hinting about transforming Screaming
in Digital to a monthly publication for some time now, and I’ve
chosen this issue - which bears a number dear to Queensryche fans - to be
the final weekly issue. Future issues will be published on a monthly
schedule, through the World
Wide Web
, with mixed-media content of text, graphics, and anything else
that might come along. Text dumps of issues will also be posted to the
rec.music.artists.queensryche
Usenet newsgroup. E-mail text subscriptions will be available as a last
resort for users unable to access the Web and Usenet.

Screaming in Digital - Issue 205

Editor’s Notes

Greetings and salutations! The new
rec.music.artists.queensryche
newsgroup is propagating nicely across Usenet, and all sites that
automatically add new groups should be carrying it shortly. If your site
doesn’t carry it, write to your news administrator, not to me! :)
I will be posting Screaming in Digital to the newsgroup
before I mail it out, so if you can read it through the Web or through
the newsgroup, please do so.

As ongoing conversations migrate to the newsgroup, Screaming in
Digital will also be undergoing some changes. There’s no set
schedule for any specific changes, but after talking to the band and
folks at EMI, my eventual goal is for it to evolve into a monthly
electronic magazine with articles, columns, pictures, et cetera. If
anyone has any ideas, or wants to be published in the monthly
Screaming in Digital, by all means, please let me know.

Screaming in Digital - Issue 204

Editor’s Notes

Hi again, everybody! The big news this week is, of course, that the
proposed Usenet newsgroup,
rec.music.artists.queensryche
, passed with flying colors. Of
course, it will hereafter be known as RMAQ, simply because nobody wants
to type that all out. As I have been hinting over the last month or
so, I hope that the newsgroup will complement the existing resources,
and perhaps take a bit of load off the folks who maintain them. Maybe
I’ll even take a week off sometime!

I’d like to remind everyone that this e-zine is available through the
World Wide Web (WWW), at
http://www.njin.net/~birchall/sid/
, that it is made available through
the Web before it is mailed out, that the Web version offers
convenient indexing and pretty graphics (if you use a graphical Web
browser), and that I encourage everyone with Web access to read it that
way, thus cutting down on the amount of e-mail I have to send. :)

Letters to the Editor

Queensryche Screen Savers

Joe
(runner13ryche@ryche.city-net.com)

It was mentioned that Michael Wilton has some great tri-ryche screen
savers for his computer. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him
to get these, or where I can buy or download them?

To my knowledge, the screen savers Michael runs on his Macintosh
have never been offered publicly, but the computer at the fanclub office
also runs them, so Tina may be able to provide more information. -Shag
