The origins of the Tri-Ryche
If this illustration looks somewhat vintage, there’s a good reason.
The Tri-Ryche’s origins begin in Seattle, the home of Queensryche
and also the home of Wes “Grizz” Griswold, its creator. Wes was
responsible for the design of all the artwork on the
Queensryche EP, as well as the stage set and backdrop used
during Queensryche’s first tour, except for the word “Queensryche” on the
front and back of the EP, which was based on a typeface designed by
Todd Rockenfield, Scott’s brother.
Wes currently works out of his studio in Kirkland, Washington, designing
artwork for CD covers and posters, and has recently entered the 3-D
rendering and animation field. For more information about Wes’s tri-ryche
art or future projects, e-mail Rain Grfx (raingrfxryche@ryche.nwlink.com) -
