I got home from work today and found a message in my voicemail, that my
mother had left last night. My father had been watching the news, and
an old friend of mine, Holly Kline, was on. Holly’s a pretty brainy,
talented sort, not one I’d be surprised to see on the news. But she
wasn’t on there because of anything she did. No, she was on there because
her husband had killed their four-month-old daughter.
