Chris DeGarmo’s New Gig

This photo was taken by Meagan Frame, who reports, “Jerry Cantrell put
together one helluvan awesome ensemble featuring Chris DeGarmo (formerly
of Queensryche), Chris Dowd (formerly of Fishbone), Alice in Chains
bandmate Sean Kinney, and Nick Rhinehart from Seattle-based Old Lady
Litterbug. It seemed to me that there was some sense of kinship among the
bandmembers, or at least a tight-weave to the chemistry between them.
This might explain the “tightness” of the music itself. At one moment
they “tore it up” as it were - and this was evidenced by the presence
of the mosh pit. And then there were wonderfully melodic moments.
Absolutely gorgeous. And the transitions between the 2 extremes were -
hmmm - immaculate? I was already hooked on the CD; now it’s that much
worse. It was a very good thing to end up smooshed against
the stage, in front of DeGarmo, no less.”
