Chris not in Seattle show after all
June 22nd, 2003Following up to the recent mention of TicketMaster stating that the August 2 show at Seattle’s Paramount theater would feature the complete original lineup of Queensryche, including Chris DeGarmo… well, don’t count on it.
On June 17, four days after I mentioned TicketMaster’s site, Kevin Scurlock reportedly stated on the band’s official site (perhaps in a Fanclub-only forum) that Chris would not be appearing at the Seattle show after all.

Queensryche shows - with Chris DeGarmo
June 13th, 2003Tam Newlin mentioned that she’d heard Chris DeGarmo was interested in playing some shows on this tour with Queensryche, as long as he could pick ones that didn’t conflict with his other obligations.

Tribal Leakage?
June 9th, 2003By now, everyone knows there are 60-second clips of every song from Tribe on the band’s official site.
I’ve heard here and there that full-length tracks from Tribe are also floating around on at least one of the peer-to-peer networks.

Screaming in Digital - Issue 282
June 6th, 2003Editor’s Notes
It’s not Monday, but oh well… here’s another issue of Screaming
in Digital. Perhaps a surprise or two in this one… perhaps a surprise
or two in the next one, too.
No matter what the site looks like, and no matter how the site works,
this is still a ‘zine that depends largely on communication within the
community. In other words, even if I can write the entire issue
myself… I’d rather not. Somewhere on this page - probably off on the
left - there’s a "submit news" link. If you’ve got something to say
that you’d like to see in an issue… by all means, click it.
WWDJD?
June 4th, 2003No, there’s not an extra letter in there. This isn’t about Jesus - it’s about Don Juan. Figuring out which Don Juan is left as an exercise for the reader… or the listener. As is figuring out what the heck this has to do with anything.

Screaming in Digital - Issue 281
June 2nd, 2003Editor’s Notes
(Cue horror movie music.)
You thought it was gone. You thought it’d been stabbed, shot, poisoned,
beheaded, drawn and quartered… and then really hurt. You thought
it was dead. You thought it was buried, six hundred feet under.
You thought you were finally rid of it, after all these years.
You thought wrong.
“Before the Storm” gets a new home!
June 1st, 2003Brett Miller’s excellent “Before the Storm” site on the pre-history of Queensryche - what the guys did before the band was formed, and in its early days - has a new home on the web at www.queensrychehistory.com. Bookmark it today!
This ends a period of “exile in the wilderness” for Brett’s site - after its original home (with Kelly Clark, perhaps?) went away, it was hosted for some time by Rich “Mindcrimer” Ansara, and then wound up over here at Screaming in Digital for quite a while. Congratulations to Brett on getting it all set up in its own domain.
